Fletcher Fund

The Fletcher Fund is named in honor of Fletcher, a Parson Russell Terrier, who was found wandering the streets with a badly broken leg and tail. Animal Control brought him to Veterinary Referral Hospital of Hickory (VRHOH) for treatment of his injuries while they tried to find his owners. Unfortunately, Fletcher’s owners could not be found. VRHOH contacted Cullen’s Archangel RescuE, Inc. (CARE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue group, to get him the care he needed and placement in a foster home until he was adopted. Thanks to CARE, Fletcher is now happily in a forever home enjoying a full and exuberant little Parson Russell life.

Cullen’s Archangel RescuE, Inc. and Veterinary Referral Hospital of Hickory formed the Fletcher Fund in 2011. The focus of this program is to provide funds for qualified applicants who cannot afford their pet’s emergency medical care. Our hope is to prevent loss of life for pets who are in loving, responsible, and devoted homes simply due to temporary, unforeseen financial hardships.
